Family Self-Sufficiency Program (FSSP)
We believe self-sufficiency begins with empowerment and education. By offering people the training they need to succeed in the workplace, we give them a chance to succeed in life. By introducing the fundamentals of financial management and opportunities to continue their education through our Family Self-Sufficiency Program (FSSP), we help families escape the crippling chains of poverty and maintain gainful employment.
FSSP gives people the necessary skills they need to succeed. From GED training to assistance in finding a job, we are here to help throughout every stage of the process. Through FSSP we provide:
Employment
- Employment skills training
- Job placement
- Job search assistance
- Job Fairs
Education
- Literacy (ABE/GED training)
- Vocational education assistance
- Post-secondary education through partnership with FCCJ
Asset Building
- Financial literacy training
- Earned income tax credit
- Free tax preparation
- Individual Development Account (IDA)
These services are available for clients enrolled in the FSSP program only.
