As one of the largest community action groups for more than four decades, the Northeast Florida Community Action Agency has helped thousands of low-income families through its programs. Created as part of the 1964 Economic Opportunity Act in Duval County, the agency is now the driving force in eliminating poverty in Northeast Florida. Providing assistance to poverty-stricken families and individuals in Baker, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Nassau, Putnam and St. Johns counties, the agency has become one of the most successful non-profit and volunteer-based organizations in Northeast Florida.
In addition to providing financial assistance to families in need, we offer programs that teach people to earn and maintain an income, and ultimately achieve self-sufficiency, as well as sustain a healthy lifestyle and higher standards of living. We believe that a combination of all of these factors allows families to succeed and give back to their communities.
Our clients come to the agency voluntarily, bringing with them the desire to make positive change in their lives. We are committed to providing the help they need to achieve their goals.

Be Aware of Utility Payment Scam
The BBB recently received several reports of individuals and businesses receiving phone calls that state their electricity will be disconnected within hours unless an immediate payment is made by prepaid debit card, such as a Green Dot Money Card, available at retailers nationwide.
